Beagle Walk 16th Aug
2008
Mongers Lake
Well, the weather gods smiled on the Beagle Club, and indeed, all of
Perth today. We couldn't have wished for a
better surrounds and company for our beagle walk. I was unable to
count the number of dogs and their owners but
it was surely one of the largest crowds to attend one of our picnic
walks.
After a chat as we awaited for people to arrive we set off at quite a
brisk pace to circumnavigate the lake. I think
the pace was set by the dogs keen to get moving to check out all the
interesting scents, enough of this human chit chat,
let's get going! In no time at all it seemed, we were back at the
start, some wanting to keep going, others only too
pleased to lie in the shade and all ready for a good drink and of
course, something to nibble on. And that's the humans
the dogs were enjoying themselves chatting amongst their kind.
